HAMMOND, La. – Eight Southeastern Louisiana University pitchers combined to hold LSU Eunice to one hit, as the SLU softball team earned a 6-2 victory in a 10-inning exhibition Friday evening at North Oak Park.
 
KK Ladner, MC Comeaux, Ellie DuBois, Cera Blanchard, Alyssa Romano, Chyanne Ellett, Leah Marshall and Lainee Bailey all saw action in the circle for Southeastern. The Lady Lion pitchers did not allow a hit until the ninth inning and combined for 12 strikeouts.
 
Lexi Johnson and McKayla Ferguson each homered to lead the Southeastern offense, while Maddie Watson added two RBI of her own. Ferguson and Cam Goodman led SLU with two hits apiece. Goodman, Watson, Johnson, Ferguson, Britt Bourgoyne and Madison Rayner all scored runs in Friday's win.
 
Friday's contest opened up an eight-game fall exhibition schedule for SLU. The schedule includes 10-inning exhibitions versus Baton Rouge Community College (10/5, 5 p.m.), Holmes Community College (10/7, 5 p.m.), Copiah-Lincoln Community College (10/12, 5 p.m.), Hinds Community College (10/14, 5 p.m.), Coastal Alabama Community College (10/19, 5 p.m.), Louisiana Christian (Oct. 21, 5 p.m.) and Jones College (10/22, 1 p.m.)
