BATON ROUGE, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up its final meet before the SLC Championships as the Lady Lions finished the LSU Invitational fourth and the men's team sixth Friday morning.
The men's team finished the 6K event with a sixth-place finish, led by
Chris Norman in 23
rd place overall in 21:17.2.
Tristen Pugmire finished in 22.26.4 for 35
th place.
Darian Chestnut finished in 38
th at 22:32.4.
Landen Schillage ran it in 23:15.0 in 41
st.
Courtlin Baunchand rounded out the runners in 44
th in 24:13.4.
Ines Legendre and Hannah Linbaugh led the Lady Lions with top-20 finishes as Legendre ran the 5K course in 18:51.3 for a 14
th place finish while Linbaugh finished in 19:25.8 to finish 18
th.
Johanna Helmrich completed the course in 22:10.6 for 32
nd.
Laney Wilkes finished 36
th in 23:06.8.
Patricia Corradi was the final team scorer in 46
th at 24:25.4. Erica Davis finished as an individual in 54
th at 30:05.5.
The next time the Lions and Lady Lions take to the course will be the Southland Conference Championship Meet back in Thibodaux on October 28
th.
