JACKSON, Tenn. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Grover Page Classic with Tuesday's final round at the Jackson Country Club.
The Lions shot 10-over par on the final day to finish 13
th overall with a tournament score of 893 (+29). North Alabama carded an 843 (-21) to win the team tournament championship.
Charlie Forster finished as the top performer for the Lions, closing out play Tuesday with his low round of the tournament, finishing with a three-under par 69. In his 2022-23 debut, Forster posted a three-under par 213 over three rounds to finish in a tie for 10
th – his third top 10 showing as a Lion.
Forster was followed in the standings by teammates
Grayson Glorioso (+7, 53
rd),
Patrick Blaum (+13, T67th),
Michael Landry (+14, T71st) and
Cameron Mobley (+18, T83rd). UNA's Carter Goodwin shot nine-under par over the three rounds to claim individual medalist honors.
The Grover Page Classic was the first of four fall tournaments on tap for SLU. Next up, the Lions head to Madison, Illinois to compete in Derek Dolenc Invitational on Sept. 26-27.
