Ines Legendre (bib #657) finished in 8th overall at the Nicholls St. Invitational
THIBODAUX, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's cross country teams got a top-10 performance from
Ines Legendre at the Nicholls State Invitational as the women's team finished fifth while the men's team finished sixth on Saturday morning.
Legendre finished the 5K course in 19:22.10, good enough for eighth in the University division. Hannah Linbaugh crossed the line second for the Lady Lions in 20:54.33, good for 20
th overall.
Johanna Helmrich finished in 25
th at 21:49.26.
Patricia Corradi came in 34
th at 24:46.10 and just nine seconds behind her was
Laney Wilkes at 24:55.83 in 35
th to round out the team scorers. Mallory Foret finished in 32
nd at 24:16.49. The team finished fifth overall.
The men were paced by
Chris Norman, who finished the four-mile track in 22:57.88 for 29
th place.
Tristen Pugmire finished in 36
th at 23:39.57.
Landen Schillage came across in 49
th at 25:44.80.
Courtlin Baunchand finished in 50
th at 25:53.90.
Darian Chestnut finished the team scorers at 53
rd in 27:15.26. Palmer Cole rounded out the runners in 56
th at 28:55.83. Overall, the Lions finished in sixth place.
The Lions and Lady Lions are back on the course this Friday in Baton Rouge at the LSU Invitational.
