Glorioso, Kuehn Battle for a Pair of 74s on Final Day of Regionals

Kuehn, Glorioso hold strong of final day of Regionals

Final Standings

BRYAN, Texas – Logan Kuehn and Grayson Glorioso both battled to shoot 74 for the Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team Wednesday during the final round of the 2022 NCAA Division I Golf Regionals in Bryan, Texas at Traditions Club (par-72, 7,146 yards).
 
Kuehn, a senior, opened the final round with two birdies and three bogeys on the front nine holes. The first team All-Southland Conference selection product was steady on the back nine with eight pars and just one bogey to finish the round at +2, finishing the tournament at +4, tied for 29th place.
 
Glorioso, out of Metairie, Louisiana, started the third round -2 through eight holes. However, the sophomore had a double-bogey to finish the front nine holes. Following Kuehn's lead, Glorioso was solid on the back nine with seven pars and two bogeys, finishing +10 (49th place).
 
Southeastern placed 12th in the final team standings at +39. The top five teams in the final standings of the regional advanced to the NCAA Division I National Championships May 27 in Scottsdale, Arizona, including regional champion Arizona (-13), Pepperdine, Texas A&M, Georgia and Kansas. Pepperdine's Joe Highsmith won the individual title as he shot -6 for the tournament.
 
While the Lions' season came to an end, SLU made quite the resume for itself. Southeastern won three tournaments this year including the Southland Tournament, Colin Montgomerie Invitational and Ellendale Intercollegiate.
 
Four Lions were named to the All-Southland team including Kuehn. SLU's Michael Landry was selected as the conference's Newcomer of the Year and second team All-Southland. Winchester, England native Charlie Forster also earned second team honors while Cameron Mobley was picked to the league's third team. Southeastern head coach Jake Narro was named Southland Coach of the Year after guiding the Lions to their first conference title since 2013.
