HAMMOND, La. – A total of 63 members of the Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics family were among the graduates who had degrees conferred at the university's Spring 2022 commencement exercises Saturday in the University Center.
 
Three SLU student-athletes received individual recognition. Tennis' Flory Bierma (Sport Management), baseball's Evan Keller (Chemistry) and track and field's Thomas Nedow (Athletic Training) all received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award for their respective majors.
 
The Lion football team led the department with 12 graduates. Track was represented by eight graduates, followed by soccer (six), women's basketball (six), softball (four), golf (three), baseball (three), men's basketball (three), volleyball (two), cheerleading (two) and tennis (one). In addition, 13 members of the support staff were among Saturday's graduates.
