HAMMOND, La. – The Southland Conference champion Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team will find out its NCAA Regional site, the track and field teams will compete in the SLC outdoor championship meet, the baseball and softball teams will celebrate their respective Senior Days and the women's basketball program will host its annual Bunko for Basketball fundraiser during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Southeastern golf team earned the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Division I Championships by winning its fifth tournament title in program history last week. The field will be announced on the Division I Men's Golf selection show Wednesday at 3 p.m. on the Golf Channel.
 
The Lions will play at one of six regional sites: Bryan, Texas; Norman, Oklahoma; Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Columbus, Ohio; Stockton, California or New Haven, Connecticut/ Regional play is set for May 15-18.
 
The SLU track and field teams will compete for the conference championship this week. The Lions and Lady Lions will head to Humble, Texas to compete in the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships, which ran from Humble, Texas.
 
The Lion baseball team (19-25, 9-9 SLC) will close out its home schedule this week. Southeastern welcomes HBU for a three-game Southland series at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field. The series opens with a 6 p.m. contest Friday, continues Saturday at 2 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
Prior to Sunday's series finale, SLU will honor Tyler Finke, Gage Trahan, Evan Keller, Grant Upton, Brock Batty, Preston Faulkner, Daniel Dugas, Tristan Welch, Hunter O'Toole, Connor Manola, Trey Harrington and Nick Ray in a Senior Day ceremony.
 
Sunday's game is a Cane's Challenge. If Southeastern scores four runs or more, fans can take their game ticket or student coupon to their local Raising Cane's to receive a free combo with the purchase of another of equal or greater value.
 
The SLU softball team (34-14, 11-4 SLC) welcomes Northwestern State for the final series of the regular season with seeding in next week's Southland Conference Tournament and the Cypress Trophy on the line. The series opens with a 4 p.m. doubleheader Friday with Saturday's series finale scheduled for noon.
 
Prior to Saturday's contest, Madisen Blackford, Aeriyl Mass and Heather Zumo will be honored in a Senior Day ceremony.
 
The Southeastern Louisiana University women's basketball program, PRIDE and the Lion Athletics Association will partner to present Bunko for Basketball Friday in the SLU War Memorial Student Union Ballroom.
 
Dinner opens the event at 6 p.m., followed by fun and fast-paced Bunko games beginning at 7 p.m. Raffles, prizes and a silent auction are also part of the Green and Gold-themed festivities. The event is open to adults 21 years and older.
 
Tickets are on sale now for $45, while admission will be $50 at the door on the day of the event. Tickets can be purchased online at www.LionSports.net/bunko2022 or by visiting the LAA office in the Dugas Center for Southeastern Athletics. Also, members of the Southeastern women's basketball coaching staff and PRIDE will have tickets for sale.
 
Proceeds go to the Green and Gold Coaches Club, which benefits the SLU women's basketball program. The 2022 version of the event will mark the 10th year of the women's basketball fundraiser and first since 2019.
