JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team dropped a pair of duals on their final day of action on the east coast, falling to Jacksonville, 3-2, and North Florida, 4-1, at Dolphin Beach.
 
In the day's first contest, Southeastern picked up points in the first and fifth flights against Jacksonville (10-19).
 
The Beach Lions' No. 1 pair of Jolie Hidalgo and Meagan Scuderi picked up a point, winning in straight sets, 21-11, 21-15. At No. 5, Mabry Ward and Eryn Wilks fought back in three sets to claim their matchup, 20-22, 29-27, 15-11.
 
Against North Florida (18-10), Southeastern (10-16) earned a point at No. 2 to avoid being shut out. The Osprey won the first three flights in straight sets.
 
Hidalgo and Scuderi (18-8) fell in three sets, 21-16, 18-21, 15-10. Hannah Barosh and Michelle Mirarchi (8-9) picked up a win in three sets, 21-15, 19-21, 15-9, in the second flight.
 
UP NEXT
SLU wraps up its regular season next weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at LSU's Battle on the Bayou. The Beach Lions will face Central Arkansas, Nicholls, New Orleans and host LSU during the two-day event which runs April 15-16 at LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium.
