MCKINNEY, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team has a two shot lead after the first round of the 2022 Southland Conference Championship Tournament at Stonebridge Country Club (Dye Course).

The Lions shot +9 for the first 18 holes to gain a two shot advantage over second place Augusta and UNO who are both tied at +11.

Southeastern's
Grayson Glorioso and
Michael Landry have a share of fourth place in the individual standings as the duo both shot 73 (+1) for the first day.

Glorioso turned in his first round with five birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey while Landry compiled three birdies and four bogeys.

Landry and Glorioso sit just two shots off the tournament lead behind UNO's Brady Bennett, UIW's Joe Buenfield and Augusta's Gareth Steyn at -1 entering Tuesday's second round.

SLU's
Charlie Forster is also in the hunt as he shot 74 (+2) Monday. The freshman is currently tied for sixth place with Nicholl's Ryan O'Neill and Augusta's Hampus Wijkstrom.
