HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team wraps up the regular season this weekend at LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the Battle on the Bayou.
 
Southeastern (10-16) will face Central Arkansas (13-11) at 10 a.m. Friday and Nicholls (1-19) later that afternoon at 4 p.m. The Beach Lions finish out the event Saturday with duals against New Orleans (16-12) at 11 a.m. and host LSU (23-8) at 5 p.m.
 
The matchup with LSU will be available to watch online through Varsity Sports Now. A link is provided on the beach volleyball schedule page at www.LionSports.net.
 
SLU's No. 1 pair of Jolie Hidalgo and Megan Scuderi were named the Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week after going 3-1 this past weekend in Jacksonville, Florida. Hidalgo, a junior from Opelousas, Louisiana, and Scuderi, a junior from Metairie, Louisiana, improved to 18-8 overall.
 
Other top-performing duos for the Beach Lions are Mabry Ward and Eryn Wilks along with Avery Carroll and Ariana Hebert.
 
Ward, a junior from Argyle, Texas, and Wilks, a redshirt sophomore from Hammond, have combined to go 17-5 since pairing up against Texas A&M-Kingsville at home back in early March.
 
Since pairing up two weeks ago, Carroll and Hebert have gone 5-3 with wins over both Central Arkansas and UNO.

SLU heads to the Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championships next weekend at Third Coast Volleyball Club in Houston, Texas. All five Southland schools will be participating with the winner advancing to the NCAA Championships, May 6-8, in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
