HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University Track and Field team will be in action this weekend in the Southern Miss Invitational in Hattiesburg, Mississippi at the Marshall Bell Track Complex beginning at 3:30 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.

The meet includes 20 teams and begins Friday with the field events, highlighted by Thomas Nedow, Terrell Webb, Seth Pagart and Robin Vrbek in the men's hammer throw at 3 p.m. Nedow is ranked second in the Southland Conference rankings in the hammer while Webb ranks sixth, Pagart is 10^th and Vrbek is 11^th.   

Kristian Jackson, the reigning back-to-back Southland Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, will compete in the hammer throw along with teammate Katrine Olsen Friday at 3:30 p.m.

In the women's javelin, Anna Ferrand and Kennedy Flauss will be in action at 3:30. With the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships a little over a month away, Ferrand currently holds the Southland' number two ranking in the event while Flauss is seventh.

Saturday will feature a full slate of both running and field events beginning at 10 a.m. with the schedule posted.

Team competing: SLU, Alcorn State, Belhaven, Coahoma CC, Delta State, Dillard, Grambling, Hinds CC, Jackson State, Loyola-New Orleans, Meridian CC, Mississippi College, Mississippi University for Women, MVSU, Mobile, Nicholls, South Alabama, Southern Miss and Spring Hill.
