HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team heads to Monroe, Louisiana this weekend to compete in the ULM Beach Invitational.
 
Southeastern (8-10) will match up with New Orleans (10-10) at 3 p.m. Friday and Central Arkansas (10-6) later that afternoon at 5 p.m. SLU wraps up the two-day event against Mary Hardin-Baylor (5-17) at 11 a.m. and event-host ULM (5-14) at 5 p.m.
 
The Beach Lions have faced all four teams already this season. SLU has split with UNO, falling, 4-1, on the opening weekend of the season in Houston, Texas at the HBU Tournament and then defeating the Privateers last weekend, 3-2, at the UNO Invitational.
 
Southeastern dropped a 4-1 decision to UCA and defeated Mary Hardin-Baylor, 5-0, at the SFA Invitational 2 in Nacogdoches, Texas. The Beach Lions lost, 4-1, to ULM at the HBU Tournament.
 
SLU's top pairings this season are Jolie Hidalgo, a junior from Opelousas, Louisiana, and Megan Scuderi along with Mabry Ward, a junior from Argyle, Texas, and Eryn Wilks.
 
Hidalgo and Scuderi, a junior from Metairie, Louisiana, are 7-3 since moving to the No. 1 flight and 14-4 overall this season.
 
Ward, a transfer from Tusculum, and Wilks, a redshirt sophomore from Hammond, are nearly undefeated (13-1) since pairing up against Texas A&M-Kingsville at home earlier this month.
