HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University softball team led the Southland Conference with seven representatives on the 2022 preseason All-Southland Conference Softball Teams, which were released by the league office on Thursday.

Rizzo made the switch early in the 2021 season to third base after serving as the team's starting shortstop since arriving on campus out of Live Oak High School. A second team All-Southland selection last spring, the Watson, Louisiana native hit .346 with 55 hits, 32 runs, a team-high 21 walks and 30 stolen bases. She ranked among the Southland leaders in stolen bases (2
nd), runs (8
th), hits (7
th) and sacrifice hits (10, 2
nd).
Rizzo teamed with Mass to provide Southeastern with a dynamic duo at the top of the lineup. A first team All-Southland and All-Louisiana choice in 2021, Mass batted .369 with 39 runs, 65 hits, 10 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 30 RBI and 30 stolen bases. The Lake Charles, Louisiana native's single-season totals for batting average (9

nd) were all among the league's best.
Greely is coming off a break out season in 2021 that saw her earned second team All-Southland and All-Louisiana honors. The Geismar, Louisiana native's first full collegiate season saw her post a team-high .398 batting average with 35 runs, 51 hits, seven doubles, two triples, three home runs, 22 RBI and 18 stolen bases. Greely ranked among the league leaders in batting average (5
th), slugging percentage (.555, 8
th), on-base percentage (.477, 4
th), hits (10
th) and triples (5
th).
Zumo returns after establishing herself as the team's ace in 2021. A third team All-Southland and honorable mention All-Louisiana performer, the Baton Rouge, Louisiana native recorded a 16-7 record with a 2.27 ERA, striking out 148 batters and holding foes to a .230 batting average. Zumo was among the league's best in ERA (7
th), opposing batting average (8
th), innings pitched (160.1, 2
nd), strikeouts (2
nd) and wins (3
rd).
Goodman hit .322 with 28 runs, 38 hits, four triples, two home runs, 23 RBI and 29 stolen bases last seasons. The Marrero, Louisiana native led the Southland in triples and finished fourth in the league in stolen bases.
Johnson is poised for a big sophomore campaign after leading the team in home runs during the fall exhibition season. In 29 games as a freshman, the Reserve, Louisiana native hit .267 with six runs, three doubles, one home run and 11 RBI.
Krolczyk is expected to be an immediate impact performer in her first season in Hammond. The Corpus Christi, Texas product finished 2021 with a .352 batting average with 13 home runs, 49 RBI, 41 runs and 11 doubles at McLellan Community College.
Southeastern will open the 2022 season on Feb. 11, hosting Southeast Missouri at 5 p.m. at North Oak Park. The season opener will be televised on ESPN+.
