SLU in Third Place at Gulf Coast Intercollegiate After 36 Holes

Kuehn in 5th Place in Individual Standings, Lions Three Shots Back of Lead

DIAMONDHEAD, Miss. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team is in third place after two rounds of play Monday at the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate at Diamondhead Country Club-Pine Course (par 72-6,729 yards).
 
The Lions shot +17 for the first two rounds and are just three shots behind the tournament leader North Alabama at +14. The final round begins Tuesday morning at 8 a.m.
 
Southeastern's opening round was phenomenal as Logan Kuehn, Cameron Mobley and newcomer Charlie Forster each shot 71 (-1) as the Lions combined to shoot even par in the first round.
 
Kuehn is tied for fifth place (+1) after two rounds. The Lake Charles, Louisiana native shot a 71 (-1) in a sporadic opening round, including six birdies and five bogeys. In the second round, Kuehn had two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey as he shot 74 (+2).
 
Mobley, out of Brandon, Mississippi, was nearly flawless in the first round with 15 pars, two birdies and just one bogey. Mobley's second round was cut short with a hand injury but should return for the final round.
 
Grant Glorioso, out of Metairie, Louisiana, is in 20th place after shooting +5 for the two rounds. The sophomore turned in a 76 (+4) in the opening round before rallying back with a 73 (+1) in the second round.
 
Newcomer Michael Landry shot a second round 75 (+3) for the Lions to help keep SLU in contention.
 
Nicholls' Ryan O'Neill is leading the individual standings shooting -6 for the tournament.
