HAMMOND, La. – After helping Southeastern Louisiana University to a 3-2 record at the Troy Cox Invitational, sophomore Audrey Greely was named the Southland Conference Hitter of the Week in an announcement from the league office on Tuesday.
 
Greely is the first Lady Lion to receive weekly honors this season. The Geismar, Louisiana native claims her second career weekly accolade, as she was selected Louisiana Hitter of the Week on April 6 of last season.
 
Over the five games in Las Cruces, New Mexico, the preseason All-Southland performer hit .600 (6-for-10) with a .900 slugging percentage and a .714 on-base percentage, helping SLU to a pair of wins over Northern Colorado as well as a 2-0 victory over Nebraska. The win over the Cornhuskers marked the third straight year in which SLU defeated a Power 5 opponent.
