HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team will close out its season-opening four-match road swing this week with a pair of nonconference matches.
The Lions (0-2) will open the week with a 2 p.m. match Friday at South Alabama (3-0). On Saturday, SLU remains in Mobile to face Alabama State (0-2) at 2 p.m.
Southeastern has begun the spring campaign with two challenging matches away from home. The Lions fell to Southern Miss and Wyoming in the opening action of the spring.
SLU will start the week against the undefeated Jaguars, who takes on Florida Gulf Coast Thursday. South Alabama has wins over New Orleans, West Alabama and Xavier (La.).
Alabama State will come to Mobile looking for its first win of the spring. The Hornets have losses to Samford and Troy on their ledger this season.
Following this week's trip, Southeastern will return home to host Alcorn State Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex.
