HAMMOND, La. – A total of 11 Southeastern Louisiana University student-athletes were named to the Academic All-District teams announced this month by College Sports Communicators.
 
SLU's Academic All-District selections are all now candidates to be included on the Academic All-America teams. The women's soccer team will be announced Dec. 7, football Dec. 20 and volleyball Dec. 21. Voting for the Academic All-America is limited to members of College Sports Communicators.
 
The Lady Lion soccer team led the way this fall with five selections. Representing coach Nathan Gillespie's squad were Tilly Deacon, Dalton Fish, Mya Guillory, Claire Huston and Makenzie Maher.
 
Both the Southland Conference champion volleyball and football teams each had three All-District representatives. Crispin Adams, Hannah Brewer and Cicily Hidalgo represented SLU volleyball, while the football program placed Garrett Crawfrord, Ivan Drobocky and Dom Serapiglia III on the list.
 
To be eligible for inclusion on the CSC Academic All-District teams, student-athletes must be in at least their second season at their current institution, maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and serve as a key contributor that has played in at least 50 percent of his or her team's contests.
