HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball and football teams will compete in their respective NCAA Tournaments, while the men's and women's basketball teams will hit the road for challenging nonconference contests during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
The Southland Conference tournament champion Lady Lion volleyball team (25-7) will make its first NCAA Tournament appearance this week. SLU will travel to face Minnesota, the No. 2 seed in the Texas region, at 7 p.m. Friday in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The winner of the first-round match will face the winner of Friday's first match between Florida State and Northern Iowa in the second round Saturday at 7 p.m.
The No. 17 Southland Conference champion SLU football team (9-3) advanced to the second round of the NCAA FCS playoffs with a thrilling 45-42 victory over No. 18 Idaho in last Saturday's first-round matchup. The Lions now head to No. 6 seed Samford for a 2 p.m. contest Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama.
The SLU men's basketball team (4-3) will head to Ohio for a pair of games this week. Southeastern opens the trip with a 7:30 p.m. contest at Xavier Wednesday. The Lions will then head to Dayton for a 1 p.m. matinee on Saturday.
The Lady Lion basketball team (4-2) has one game on tap this week. SLU heads to No. 12 LSU for a 7 p.m. contest Tuesday in Baton Rouge.
On The Air
The men's basketball game at Xavier will be televised on FS1, while Tuesday's women's basketball game at LSU will air on SEC Network+. Saturday's football and men's basketball action, as well as this week's volleyball matches, will be broadcast on ESPN+
The SLU football game at Samford can also be heard live in the Hammond area on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM).

The latest episode of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo is set for Monday at 7 p.m. The show will air weekly on the radio home of SLU Football - Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM. Hosted by Scelfo and Allen Waddell, the hour-long show will feature the latest on all things Lion Football.
Pour House Pizza and Beer Garden (505 W. Thomas St.) will serve as the host site for the show, which will air from Pour House on Mondays at 7 p.m. through the end of the season.
