HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football and volleyball teams will look to win Southland Conference championships, while men's and women's basketball will continue nonconference play during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The No. 25 Southeastern football team (7-3, 4-1 SLC) will close out the regular season Thursday with a 6 p.m. contest at Nicholls. A win in the River Bell Classic will give the Lions the Southland Conference championship and a berth in the NCAA FCS Championships.
 
The 2022 Southland Conference Volleyball Championships will be hosted in Hammond, America and the Lady Lion volleyball team (23-7) will be the No. 2 seed and receive a bye into the semifinals. The tournament runs Thursday through Sunday. Saturday's semifinal matchup for Southeastern is set for 3 p.m. Sunday's championship match is scheduled for 2 p.m. with the winner receiving the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Championships.
 
The SLU men's basketball team (1-1) will travel to the Appalachian State MTE in Boone, North Carolina this week. The Lions will open the week with a 3 p.m. game Friday versus Kennesaw State, which is coached by former Southeastern standout Amir Abdur-Rahim. Southeastern takes on Campbell Saturday at 3 p.m. and closes out the tournament against the hosts Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
 
The Southeastern women's basketball team (2-0) will close out its week-long road trip with an 8 p.m. contest at San Diego State Tuesday.

The entire Southland Conference Volleyball Championships, Thursday's football game and Sunday's men's basketball game will be televised on ESPN+. The SLU football game at Nicholls can also be heard live in the Hammond area on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM).
 
Fans can hear Tuesday's women's basketball game, as well as Friday and Saturday's men's basketball contests online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive.
 
The latest episode of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo is set for Monday at 7 p.m. The show will air weekly on the radio home of SLU Football - Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM. Hosted by Scelfo and Allen Waddell, the hour-long show will feature the latest on all things Lion Football.
 
Pour House Pizza and Beer Garden (505 W. Thomas St.) will serve as the host for the remainder of the season and the show will air from Pour House on Mondays at 7 p.m. through Nov. 21.
