HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University soccer team is set for the Southland Conference Tournament, the football and indoor volleyball teams continue league play and a beach volleyball pair tests their mettle against the nation's best during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Lady Lions (7-6-3, 5-4-3 SLC) will be the fifth seed in the Southland Conference Soccer Championships this week in Natchitoches, Louisiana. SLU will face HCU at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the day's first quarterfinal. The winner faces top seed Lamar Friday at 4 p.m. in the semifinals. Sunday's championship match is set for 1 p.m. with the winner earning the league's automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.
 
The SLU football team (5-3, 2-1 SLC) will close out its three-game road swing this week. The Lions will travel to Lamar for a 3 p.m. Southland Conference contest Saturday in Beaumont, Texas. A win would secure the fourth straight winning season for Southeastern – the program's longest streak since its run of six straight campaigns above .500 from 1976-81.
 
The Southeastern volleyball team (19-6, 9-4 SLC) carries a four-match winning streak into the penultimate weekend of the regular season. The Lady Lions open the week with a 6:30 p.m. match Tuesday at Northwestern State, before heading to Lamar for a 6 p.m. league contest Thursday.
 
SLU returns home Saturday to host Texas A&M-Commerce for a 1 p.m. Southland match. The Lady Lions' next win will give Southeastern its first 20-win season since 1996.
 
The Southeastern duo of Jolie Hidalgo and Meagan Scuderi will compete as a pair at the AVCA Fall Beach Championships this week. The national competition is scheduled for Friday through Sunday in Huntsville, Alabama.

This week's football game can be seen on ESPN3, while this week's soccer action, as well as Tuesday and Saturday's volleyball match will air on ESPN+. The SLU football game at Lamar can also be heard live in the Hammond area on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM).
 
The latest episode of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo is set for Monday at 7 p.m. The show will air weekly on the radio home of SLU Football - Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM. Hosted by Scelfo and Allen Waddell, the hour-long show will feature the latest on all things Lion Football.
 
Pour House Pizza and Beer Garden (505 W. Thomas St.) will serve as the host for the remainder of the season and the show will air from Pour House on Mondays at 7 p.m. through Nov. 21.
