HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University scored in every inning to open its final week of the fall exhibition season with a 32-5 10-inning victory over Coastal Alabama Community College Wednesday evening at North Oak Park.
 
Southeastern improved to 6-0 in its fall exhibition season with its largest offensive output of the season. Madison Rayner led the way for the Lady Lions, finishing 4-for-5 with three home runs, a double, five runs scored and seven RBI.
 
Rayner was one of five SLU hitters to hit home runs, as Maddie Watson, Blaire Bizette, Jillian Gutierrez and Lainee Bailey all cleared the wall. Maddie Watson recorded six RBI, while Ka'Lyn Watson and McKayla Ferguson each had four runs apiece. All 14 Southeastern batters had at least one hit, as SLU finished with 27 hits on the night.
 
Eight Southeastern pitchers combined to hold Coastal Alabama to three hits and strike out 14 Sun Chiefs. Ellie DuBois led the Lady Lions with four strikeouts, while Alyssa Romano, KK Ladner and Mary-Cathryn (MC) Comeaux struck out two each.
 
SLU will close out its fall schedule this week at North Oak Park, hosting Louisiana Christian (Friday, 5 p.m.) and Jones College (Saturday, 1 p.m.) in 10-inning exhibitions.
