HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's basketball teams will hit the road for Southland Conference play during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Lions (9-9, 1-0 Southland) carry a five-game winning streak into this week's action. SLU takes on New Orleans on Thursday at 7 p.m., before traveling to Nicholls for a 3 p.m. contest in Thibodaux on Saturday.
 
The Lady Lions (5-6, 1-0 Southland) returned from a 25-day layoff with a convincing 90-56 victory over Northwestern State last Saturday in the Southland Conference opener. Southeastern will play UNO on Thursday at 5 p.m. and Nicholls on Saturday at 1 p.m. to open the road portion of its league schedule.

The latest episode of Inside Southeastern Basketball with David Kiefer is set for Monday at 7 p.m. The show will feature Kiefer and host Allen Waddell discussing Lion hoops every Monday through March 14 at Rainbow Daiquiris (14384 West Thomas Street). The show will air on Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM, as well as online at www.kajun107.net.
