Kerr and Glorioso Lead SLU During Final Round of Lone Star Invitational

Lions' Duo Competes Hard in Tuesday in Final Round

Final Team/Individual Standings

SAN ANTONIO, Texas –
Grayson Glorioso and Kris Kerr both shot 76 (+4) to lead the Southeastern Louisiana University golf team Tuesday during the final round of the Lone Star Invitational at TPC San Antonio – Oaks Course.

Glorioso, a sophomore, started the round inauspiciously with a pair of bogeys. However, the Metairie, Louisiana native rallied back nicely to shoot -1 over his next 10 holes before running into some trouble. The Jesuit High grad had double bogey and two bogeys before finishing strongly with a pair of pars.

Kerr, out of Loranger, Louisiana, opened his round in similar fashion to Glorioso with two bogeys in the first three holes. The senior kept his head and shot +1 for the next 11 holes before bogeys on his 14th and 15th holes. The Loranger HS product kept competing as he finished with a birdie on the 17th and a par on the 18th hole.

Cameron Mobley led the Lions for the tournament finishing tied for 38th place at +14. The junior shot 77 in the first round, 75 in the second and 78 in the final round.

SLU was also playing a man down as senior Logan Kuehn injured his hand Monday during the second round. The Lake Charles, Louisiana native was tied for 12th and shooting +2 for the tournament through 26 holes before the injury forced his withdrawal from the tournament.

UT San Antonio won the team championship shooting +4 for the 54-hole tournament, 12 shots ahead of runner up New Mexico State (+16). UTSA's Michael Rome and Hunter Bott took home a share of the individual both shooting even par for the tourney.

Next up, SLU will compete in the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday Oct. 11th and 12th in State University, Arkansas.
