HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football, soccer, volleyball and cross country teams will all be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.  
 
The No. 13/14 SLU football team (0-1) will close out nonconference play on Saturday with an 11 a.m. contest at Central Connecticut State.
 
The Southeastern soccer team (1-4, 0-1 Southland) continues its road swing with a 7 p.m. contest at Houston Baptist on Thursday.
 
The Lady Lion volleyball team (0-7) will travel to Brookings, South Dakota to compete in the Jackrabbit Invitational. SLU opens the tournament versus host South Dakota State at 11 a.m. on Friday, before closing the day's action with a 5 p.m. match versus Drake. On Saturday, Southeastern takes on Idaho at 11 a.m. to close out tournament play.
 
The defending Southland Conference champion SLU men's cross country team and its female counterparts will open its season this week. The Lions and Lady Lions will be in Baton Rouge on Saturday to participate in the LSU Invitational. The men's race is set for 8:30 a.m. with the women's race to follow at 9:15 a.m.
