HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team opens its 2021 season, while the defending Southland Conference Tournament champion SLU women's soccer team hosts its home opener during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
After defeating ULM in an exhibition in its final tune-up, the Southeastern volleyball team will officially open its campaign on the road this week at the Starkvegas Classic in Starkville, Mississippi. On Friday, SLU takes on Gonzaga at 10 a.m. The Lady Lions will take on host Mississippi State on Saturday at 4 p.m.
 
The SLU soccer team (0-1) hosts Alcorn State on Friday at 7 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium to open its 2021 home schedule. On Sunday, the Lady Lions travel to Louisiana Tech for a 1 p.m. nonconference match in Ruston, Louisiana.
 
On the Air
Friday's soccer match will air on ESPN+, while Saturday's volleyball match can be seen on SEC Network+. SLU's soccer match at Louisiana Tech on Sunday can be viewed at www.cusa.tv.
