HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana sophomore
Putri Insani was named among the state's best for the second straight spring, as she was selected to the 2020-21 LSWA All-Louisiana Collegiate Women's Tennis Team, which was released by the LSWA on Wednesday.
Insani was named to the second team. Wednesday's recognition is the latest postseason honor for the Jakarta, Indonesia native, who was previously named third team All-Southland Conference and second team Southland All-Academic.
Insani had a nine-match singles win streak on the No. 1 court during the spring. She finished 12-5 in singles play, including a 7-3 mark in Southland play.
LSU senior Paris Corley was named the state's Player of the Year, while Lina Hohnhold of New Orleans was selected the Newcomer of the Year. Xavier's Valentina Largacha claimed Freshman of the Year accolades. Xavier's Alan Green and UNO's Burzis Kanga shared Coach of the Year honors after leading their respective teams to conference championships.
The 2020-21 All-Louisiana tennis teams were selected by the state's sports information directors. SID's were not permitted to vote for their own institution's nominees.
