HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana baseball and softball teams will be back in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Lion baseball team (25-15, 18-10 Southland) will return to action after a nine-day hiatus, traveling to Southern Miss for a 6 p.m. contest on Tuesday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. SLU will then return home to host Nicholls for three games of a four-game Southland Conference series.
 
The series opens with a 6 p.m. contest on Friday, continues with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday. Sunday's 2 p.m. series finale will be held in Thibodaux.
 
The SLU softball team (26-19, 13-8 Southland) will close out its 2021 regular season with a three-game Southland Conference series at Northwestern State. The Cypress Trophy will be on the line in the series, which opens with a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and concludes with a noon contest on Saturday.   
 
On The Air
Friday and Saturday's baseball games will be televised on ESPN+. Tuesday's game at Southern Miss will air on cusa.tv. All of this week's baseball games can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9).
 
The latest edition of Inside Southeastern Baseball with Matt Riser, presented by Blackened Brew is set for Monday. Airing every Monday during the baseball season at 12 p.m. on KSLU 90.9 FM, the one-hour show airs live from Blackened Brew in downtown Hammond.
