HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana softball team's scheduled Southland Conference series versus Texas A&M-Corpus Christi this weekend has been canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within the Islander program, the league office announced on Thursday.
 
The games will not be rescheduled and both teams will receive points for seeding purposes only in accordance with the conference's policy adopted by the athletic directors in January.
 
Sunday's Senior Day ceremony has been rescheduled for next Saturday, May 1. The senior class of Anna Rodenberg, Cameron Beal, Kelci Bodin and Shelby Sitzman will be honored in a postgame ceremony following the noon series finale versus Central Arkansas.

Southeastern will return to action on Tuesday, hosting Southern for a 6 p.m. contest at North Oak Park. The contest will be televised on ESPN+.
