HOUSTON, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana dropped its final three duals of the regular season Saturday in the HBU Tournament at Third Coast Volleyball.
The Beach Lions (3-17) fell to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (13-11) and host Houston Baptist (5-20) by identical 5-0 scores before coming up short against Stephen F. Austin (8-11), 4-1.
In the day's first dual, Southeastern's No. 1 pair of
Mikayla Richard and
Meagan Scuderi forced the Islanders to three sets before falling, 22-24, 21-12, 15-13. The other four pairs dropped their matchups in straight sets.
Against HBU, the Beach Lions dropped all five flights in straight sets.
Hannah Barosh and
Michelle Mirarchi picked up a point for the Beach Lions against SFA, winning the second flight, 23-21, 21-15. The No. 4 duo of
Ariana Hebert and
Linsey Sackett forced the Ladyjacks to a third set, coming up short, 13-21, 25-23, 17-15.
UP NEXT
The Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championships are scheduled for April 23-25 on the beach in Corpus Christi, Texas. The double-elimination event will feature Southeastern's three opponents this weekend along with Central Arkansas and New Orleans as well as the Beach Lions.
