HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana softball team will travel to Sam Houston for a three-game Southland Conference series in Huntsville, Texas.
Inclement weather has pushed the series between the Lady Lions (23-14, 12-3 Southland) and the host Bearkats (11-22, 8-7 Southland) back a day. The three-game set will open with a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday and conclude with a noon contest on Sunday.
Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled to be televised on ESPN+. Live stats for the entire series, provided by Sam Houston, will be accessible on the softball schedule page at

Southeastern had its seven-game winning streak snapped by McNeese with a 3-1 loss to the Cowgirls last Saturday. A doubleheader sweep on Friday helped SLU win its fifth straight league series to open the season.
The Lady Lions head west with a .290 team batting average.
Audrey Greely leads the team and ranks among the Southland leaders in batting average (.418, 5
th in the Southland), on-base percentage (.505, 2
nd) and slugging percentage (.604, 10
th).
The top hitters for average for SLU also includes
Lindsey Rizzo (.379) and
Aeriyl Mass (.369). The SLU trio of Greely, Rizzo and Mass all rank among the league's top 10 in runs and hits. Mass leads the league with 48 hits and is 10
th in the Southland with a team-high 23 RBI.
Greely and Mass share the team lead with three home runs apiece.
Cameron Goodman leads the Lady Lions with three triples, while Greely's six doubles pace the squad.
The Lady Lions share the national lead with 111 stolen bases this spring. Mass leads SLU with 23 stolen bases, followed by Rizzo (22), Goodman (21), Greely (12) and
Kelci Bodin (12).
Southeastern enters Wednesday's game with a 3.84 earned run average.
Heather Zumo (13-2, 1.98 ERA) ranks near the top of the Southland in virtually every pitching category to pace the Lady Lions.
MC Comeaux (8-5, 5.04 ERA) and
Sophie Hannabas (2-3, 5.74 ERA) have been the team's other primary starters, while
Ellie DuBois (0-2, 2.92 ERA, 6 saves) leads the Southland in saves with her single-season school record total.
The Lady Lion pitching staff will be facing a Sam Houston lineup that carries a .236 team batting average. Sheridan Fisher (.301), Hannah Schaeffer (four home runs) and Kyndal Kutac (five doubles, 22 RBI) are the offensive leaders for the Bearkats.
Sam Houston enters the series with a 6.12 team ERA. The duo of Mika Vento (5-5, 4.05 ERA) and Regan Dunn (5-6, 5.83 ERA) have handled the majority of the work in the circle for the Bearkats.

Following the series, SLU will play its next 10 games at home at North Oak Park. The home stand starts with a 6 p.m. contest versus ULM on Wednesday, April 21 in a game scheduled to be televised on ESPN+.
