CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana's 
Putri Insani picked up a victory at the top of the singles draw in a 6-1 loss to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Southland Conference women's tennis action Friday afternoon at the Henry Tennis Center.
 
The match marked the start of a four-match league road swing for the Lions (3-6, 1-2 Southland). Texas A&M-Corpus Christi improved to 12-1 overall and 2-0 in league action.
 
"We were able to do some good things today and we're certainly proud of Putri's win," Southeastern head coach 
Jason Hayes said. "Give credit to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. They're one of the best teams we've played this spring."
 
The Islanders swept through doubles play to take a 1-0 lead. On the No. 1 singles court, Insani took home a 7-5, 6-3 win over Camille Townsend. However, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi countered with straight sets on the other five singles courts.
