HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Southeastern Louisiana fell to New Orleans and Southern Miss in identical 4-0 decisions Monday at the Southern Miss Beach Volleyball Complex.
The Beach Lions (3-12) dropped their first dual of the day in straight sets to UNO (4-10).
Mikayla Richard and
Meagan Scuderi fell, 210, 21-13, in the first flight.
Hannah Barosh and
Michelle Mirarchi dropped the second flight, 21-14, 21-12.
Marisa Calvaruso and
Eryn Wilks came up short, 21-14, 21-7, in the third flight.
Linsey Sackett and
Nylissa Snagg fell, 21-16, 21-10 in the fourth flight.
In the nightcap against Southern Miss (5-13), Sackett and Snagg finished up first. Southeastern's No. 4 pair came up short, 21-18, 21-16. Richard and Scuderi dropped a 21-13, 21-14 decision in the first flight. Calvaruso and Wilks fell, 21-12, 21-14 in the fourth flight.
Barosh and Mirarchi were the final pair to finish, taking Southern Miss to an exciting third set that came down to the wire before falling just short, 18-21, 21-17, 15-13.
