SLU Hosts Louisiana Tech for Doubleheader

SLU returns home for 4 p.m. twin bill on Wednesday

HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana softball team will return to action on Wednesday, hosting Louisiana Tech for a 4 p.m. doubleheader at North Oak Park.
 
The games between the Lady Lions (7-6) and the visiting Lady Techsters (2-4) will be streamed live on the Southeastern Sports Network at www.LionSports.net/ssn.
 
Southeastern is coming off a 3-1 week at the FSU Unconquered Invitational, where it earned a pair of victories over Florida A&M, as well as a shutout win over Florida Gulf Coast in the tournament finale. On Saturday, SLU dropped a narrow 3-0 decision to No. 15 Florida State.
 
Audrey Greely leads the Lady Lions with a .438 batting average, followed by Lindsey Rizzo (.425) and Aeriyl Mass (.395). Briahna Bennett and Ellie DuBois share the team lead with two home runs and nine RBI apiece.
 
In the circle, Heather Zumo (5-1, 2.42 ERA) has been the ace for SLU, while MC Comeaux (1-2, 6.34 ERA) and Sophie Hannabas (0-2, 8.65 ERA) are the other most used arms for the Lady Lions.
 
Louisiana Tech is led by Kara Goff, who tops the team with a .375 batting average, two home runs and five RBI. Emma Hutchinson (2-0, 0.00 ERA) and Audrey Pickett (0-1, 2.00 ERA) are the top arms for Louisiana Tech.
 
Up Next
Southeastern will hit the road this weekend, traveling to the Auburn Invitational. The Lady Lions play Troy in a 9 a.m. doubleheader on Friday and a doubleheader versus host Auburn at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
