LAFAYETTE, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's tennis team closed out its pre-Southland Conference schedule on Tuesday with a 4-0 road loss to UL Lafayette at Cajun Courts.
 
Southeastern fell to 2-4 overall with the loss. The Ragin' Cajuns (4-2) took the doubles points and earned three straight set singles victories to secure the win.
 
In doubles play, the UL Lafayette pair of Floriane Picaut and Clara Mantaux defeated SLU's Putri Insani and Ximena Yanez, 6-1, on the No. 1 court. On No. 3, the Ragin' Cajun duo of Lucie Raquin and Babette Burgersdijk clinched the doubles point with a 6-2 victory over the Lion pair of Katya Cornejo and Polina Sleptsova on No. 3.
 
In singles play, Insani was up a set over Picaut on No. 1 when the match was decided. Before Insani could earn her third straight singles victory, the Ragin' Cajuns closed out the victory with singles wins on courts 3, 4 and 5.
