MATTHEWS, La. –
William Meyers, shot a 69 (-3), while Zack Barrios and Logan Kuehn both shot 72 (E) for the Southeastern Louisiana golf team in the final round of the LaTour Intercollegiate Sunday afternoon at LaTour Golf Club.

Meyers, a senior, finished the final 18 holes with five birdies and just two bogeys to bounce from a tough opening round Saturday. The Baton Rouge, Louisiana native started the day with a par and three consecutives birdies to get the round started in route to a -3. The Catholic High grad has shot under par in six of his last 14 rounds dating back to the spring of 2020.

Barrios was solid yet again. After shooting an opening round 73 (+1), the junior shot even par with two birdies and two bogeys Sunday. The Slidell, Louisiana native rallied back nicely in the second round after starting with five pars and two bogeys in the first seven holes. Barrios finished the tournament at +1, tied for ninth.

Logan Kuehn, out of Lake Charles, Louisiana, started the second round with six pars before bogeys on two of the next three holes. The senior didn't panic as he finished the round shooting -2 on the back nine holes, including two birdies and seven pars to finish even for the day. Kuehn shot +4 for the two days, which was tied for 18th place.

The Lions collectively shot +1 for the day, a 17-shot improvement from Saturday, as SLU finished the tournament in seventh place. The tournament was originally slated for three rounds but the final round Monday was canceled due to threat of severe winter weather the area.

"It was just good to play a tournament after so long off," said Narro. "Ideally, we would have liked to have better weather conditions. But it makes the weather feel a lot better when you play as well as we did today."

Louisiana Tech claimed the team championship shooting -12 for the tournament. LTU's Sam Murphy won the individual title shooting -7 for the two days.

Southeastern will have two weeks off before playing in the Gulf Coast Intercollegiate Monday and Tuesday March 1-2 in Diamondhead, Mississippi hosted by UNO.
