HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football team competes in the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs, while the men's and women's basketball teams hit the road for nonconference play during this week in Southeastern Athletics.  
 
The No. 17 Lion football team (9-3) opened its fourth postseason in program history with a 38-14 first-round win over No. 22 Florida A&M. With the victory, SLU advances to face third-seeded James Madison at 1 p.m. (CST) in the second round on Saturday in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
 
The Southeastern men's basketball team (3-5) will continue its eight-game road swing this week. On Sunday, the Lions face Troy at 4 p.m. in Troy, Alabama.
 
The SLU women's basketball team (2-4) opens a stretch that will see the Lady Lions play five of their six games in the month of December away from home. On Wednesday, Southeastern will face TCU at 6:30 p.m. before heading to Prairie View on Friday for a 5:30 p.m. nonconference matchup.
 
On the Air
Saturday's football game, Sunday's men's basketball contest and Wednesday's women's basketball matchup will be televised on ESPN+.
