HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana University posted five innings of four runs or more on the way to a 28-2 victory over East Central (Miss.) Community College Friday evening at Hammond America Sportsplex.
 
The big innings were fueled by five home runs for the Lady Lions, who improved to 5-0 this fall. Madison Rayner, Audrey Greely, Karlee Kraft, Elise DuBois and Sarah Diaz each homered for SLU in the win.
 
Southeastern collected 28 hits in the victory, as 10 players hit safely multiple times. DuBois led SLU with four hits, while Rayner, Greely, Lexi Johnson and Blaire Bizette each had three hits.
 
Johnson paced the roster with seven runs batted in, while Greely drove in five. Rayner scored a team-high five runs, while the trio of Greely, Madisen Blackford and Bailey Krolczyk each scored three runs apiece.
 
Six Southeastern pitchers combined to hold the visiting Warriors to six hits over the 10-inning exhibition. MC Comeaux and Kaylan (KK) Ladner each threw three shutout innings, striking out five and six batters, respectively.
 
SLU will continue its fall exhibition schedule on Wednesday, Oct. 20, hosting Coastal Alabama Community College for a 10-inning contest at Hammond America Sportsplex.
