HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University softball team overwhelmed Baton Rouge Community College, 20-1, in a 10-inning exhibition Wednesday evening at Hammond America Sportsplex.
 
The Lady Lions collected 18 hits on the way to improving to 4-0 this fall. Five different Southeastern pitchers combined to hold the visitors to two hits.
 
Lexi Johnson homered for the fourth straight game, as she and Madison Rayner each had a team-high three hits for SLU. Blaire Bizette also hit a home run for the Lady Lions, as she, Aeriyl Mass, Bailey Krolczyk and Cameron Goodman each had two hits apiece.
 
Rayner, Johnson and Goodman shared game-high honors with three RBI apiece. Bizette led Southeastern with four runs scored, while Elise Jones scored three runs.
 
Kaylan (KK) Ladner led a dominant SLU pitching performance, as she struck out all nine batters she faced in three innings of work. MC Comeaux also tossed three shutout innings, while Alyssa Romano started the game with two perfect innings.
 
SLU will return to action on Friday, hosting East Central (Miss.) Community College in a 10-inning exhibition at 4 p.m. at Hammond America Sportsplex.
