HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University football, volleyball, soccer, golf and softball teams will all be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The No. 11 SLU football team (5-1, 3-0 Southland) will continue Southland Conference play on Saturday. The Lions will travel to Northwestern State for a 3 p.m. contest in Natchitoches.
 
The Southeastern volleyball team (6-12, 5-2 Southland) has a busy week ahead with three matches on tap. On Tuesday, SLU travels to Jackson State for a 6 p.m. match. The Lady Lions host Southland foe Nicholls on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the University Center.
 
Southeastern Athletics will celebrate Halloween early in conjunction with Thursday's match, as fans are encouraged to wear their best Halloween costumes and the first 150 students will receive free food. On Saturday, Southeastern hosts New Orleans for a 1 p.m. league match.
 
The Lady Lion soccer team (5-7-2, 3-4-2 Southland) continues its six-match home stand to close the regular season this week. SLU hosts UIW at 7 p.m. on Friday, before welcoming Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for a 1 p.m. match at Strawberry Stadium on Sunday.
 
The SLU men's golf team concludes its fall schedule this week. On Monday and Tuesday, the Lions will be in Killen, Alabama to compete in the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational. Tee time is set for 8 a.m. both days.
 
The Southeastern softball team will close out the home portion of its fall exhibition schedule this week. The Lady Lions will face Coastal Alabama Community College on Wednesday and Louisiana College on Friday. Both 10-inning exhibitions are scheduled for 5 p.m. at Hammond America Sportsplex.

Saturday's football game will be televised on ESPN+. The game can also be heard in the Hammond area on Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM and online at www.kajun107.net. ESPN+ will also air both of this week's soccer matches and Thursday's volleyball match.  
 
The 2021 season of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo will continue on Monday at 7 p.m. inside the Pour House Pizza and Beer Garden (505 W. Thomas Street) in downtown Hammond. The hour show, hosted by fourth-year Lion head coach Scelfo and Allen Waddell, can be heard on Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 103.7 FM/1400 AM, as well as online at www.Kajun107.net.
