THIBODAUX, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University men's and women's cross country teams will race in the Nicholls Invitational at Manning Fields Saturday morning with the men's 4-mile race at 8 a.m. followed by the women's 5k at 8:30 a.m.

For the men, SLU will be represented by
Bradley Makuvire,
Noah Kiprotich,
Julius Kemper,
Thomas Daigle,
Colton Johnson and Tyler Clemons.

Makuvire, a sophomore, won the men's 6k race at the LSU Invitational back on Sept. 17 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Zimbabwe native finished 24 seconds in front of the rest of the field in a time of 18:45.33.

Kemper, out of Hamsburg, Germany, will also be looking to repeat a terrific performance in his debut with the Lions. The freshman finished ninth at LSU in a time of 19:53.13.

On the women's side, SLU will feature Bernadette and Bridgette Tournoux, Amber Stroughter,
Haley Dupree' and Nina Sorapuru.

Six teams will compete Saturday including Nicholls, SLU, Loyola-New Orleans, Tulane, Xavier (New Orleans) and Dillard University in both the men's and women's races.
