HAMMOND – A total of 50 members of the Southeastern Louisiana University Athletics family were among the over 1,100 graduates who had degrees conferred following the recent conclusion of the university's spring 2020 semester.
Among the Lion and Lady Lion graduates were 34 student-athletes. Football led the department with 11 graduates.
The track and field program was next with eight, followed by baseball (four), women's basketball (three), women's soccer (three) and men's golf (two). Brandon Gonzalez (men's basketball), Jo Simovic (volleyball) and Tanner Wright (softball) were all the lone representatives for their respective programs.
In addition, 16 members of the SLU Athletics support staff received degrees. The group included nine student workers/interns, five graduate assistants and two members of the Lionette dance team.
