MADISON, Miss. - Ponchatoula's Eddie Brescher fired a 2-under-par 70 to record the lowest round of the day for the Southeastern Louisiana University golf team as it concluded the first two rounds of the Ole Miss/Bank of America Intercollegiate Monday at Reunion Golf and Country Club.

Brescher, the team's only senior, paced Southeastern on the par-72, 7,305-yard course as he overcame a sluggish first round where he shot a 77. Brescher finished the first 36 holes in a tie for 31st place at 147. Freshman Cedric Scotto finished at 148 for the first two rounds after carding a 1-over-par 73 in the second round with Graham Benson following at 149.

Matthew Carvell and Kevin Sohn each fired a two-round total of 156 as Southeastern finished in 13th place after the first day. The Lions posted a team score of 302 in the opening round before carding a 296 in the final round to finish at 598.

Chattanooga and LSU finished as the co-leaders after 36 holes at 563 with host Ole Miss two shots back at 565. Vanderbilt (577) and South Alabama (579) were fourth and fifth, respectively, with UAB (582), North Florida (583), Memphis (583), Louisiana Tech (584) and UNC-Greensboro (584) rounding out the top 10.
