STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The Southeastern Louisiana University men's basketball team wraps up its longest road trip of the season on Saturday when it visits Big 10 Conference member Penn State at the Bryce Jordan Center.

After recording an impressive 70-59 win at defending SWAC champion Southern on Wednesday, Southeastern (6-4) looks to wrap up its five-game road swing on a positive note in its first-ever meeting with Penn State (7-3).
Daryl Cohen scored a game-high 19 points against Southern as he led three players in double figures and helped Southeastern shoot a season-high 52 percent from the floor. Terry Bryant added 14 points and Quennell Green 13 as the Lions opened the game with a 21-3 run and added a 15-0 run after the Jaguars closed to within 29-23.
Cohen, a senior from Century, Fla., continues to lead the Southland Conference in scoring (18.0) and 3-pointers made per game (4.1). Expected to join Cohen in the starting lineup is Green, who is fifth in the SLC in scoring (15.3), Bryant (8.8 ppg.), Kevyn Green (8.5) and Joseph Polite (7.5).
The Lions enter the game averaging 68.1 points per game while allowing 66.6. Southeastern leads the SLC in free throw shooting with Bryant, Cohen and Quennell Green ranked among the top four leaders.
Penn State, which has won three of its last four games, defeated Long Island on Wednesday, 66-45, as the Nittany Lions opened the second half on a 20-4 run to build a 15-point lead in the second half. Geary Claxton notched the 12th double-double of his career with 21 points and 12 rebounds for Penn State while Mooch Jackson added 12 points.
Claxton, a 6-foot-5 junior, leads the Nittany Lions with 16.5 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. Jamelle Cornley (13.3 ppg.) and Danny Morrissey (10.4) are next in scoring for Penn State, which averages 64.5 points per game while allowing 59.9.
The game against Penn State marks the second matchup in school history for Southeastern against a school from the Big 10. Southeastern dropped a 105-59 decision at Purdue on Dec. 5, 1979.
