Southeastern Louisiana University Director of Athletics Frank Pergolizzi announced today the football television package for the upcoming 2004 football season.
The Lions, who sold out four of six home games last season, will have five televised games this season including four on Cox Sports Television. The fifth game will be part of the Southland Conference's television contract with Fox Sports.
"We believe the television package we've put together will provide wonderful exposure for our team, our athletics program and our university," remarked Pergolizzi. "It provides fans a great opportunity to keep up with the team and more importantly gives us a venue to showcase Southeastern to over 1 million potential viewers."
The package opens with the Lions hosting Arkansas-Monticello in the season opener for both squads Thursday, Sept. 2 in Strawberry Stadium. The following week finds the Lions on Fox Sports Southwest as they visit the nationally-ranked Cowboys of McNeese State on Sept. 11 in Lake Charles.
Southeastern hosts SLC member Sam Houston State in a Cox Sports televised game Sept. 25 in Strawberry Stadium as well as the Oct. 9 homecoming game against Northern Colorado.
The package concludes with the Oct. 30 game against Alcorn State in Strawberry Stadium.
