PLANO, Texas - Southeastern Louisiana University placed three players on the Southland Conference All-Academic Men's and Women's Tennis teams announced Monday by the conference office.

Yessica Rizelia, one of two selections to have a perfect 4.0 average, was the lone Southeastern representative on the women's team. Juniors Paul Birkett and Josh Smith each earned a spot on the men's team.

Rizelia, a senior from Jakarta, Indonesia, recently graduated in finance and was named the Distinguished Graduate in Finance at the university's spring honors convocation. On the court, she was 11-11 in singles play and teamed with Zdenka Puflerova to record a 13-8 record in doubles play.

Texas-Arlington's Anete Rozkaline was named Southland Conference Student-Athlete of the Year.
