HAMMOND--The Southeastern Lions continued preparations for Thursday night's game against Lambuth University working for two hours Tuesday afternoon at Strawberry Stadium.
"It was a much better practice overall than Monday's workout," replied head coach Hal Mumme. "Even though the execution was better, we still have room for improvement. But it was much better effort overall than Monday's practice."
Southeastern, which knocked off Arkansas-Monticello Saturday night in the historic season-opener, will try to win back to back games for the first time since midway through the 1983 campaign.
"Lambuth is similar to Monticello both in the fact that they each like to throw it around some as well as having some of the same defensive schemes," remarked Mumme. "I'm just hopeful that our execution continues to improve."
The Lions will practice a final time Wednesday evening prior to the Thursday night contest.
Tickets remain for the game but continue to go quickly. To order or for more information contact the Southeastern Athletics Ticket office at 985-549-5466.
