Sawyer threw for a season-high three touchdowns and 228 yards on 19-for-24 passing in a 40-17 win over Nicholls. The freshmen's performance in the win helped Southeastern clinch its third Southland Conference championship in program history and an appearance in the NCAA FCS playoffs.
