Newsome helped Southeastern to back-to-back wins over Southland Conference co-leaders Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and HCU. She finished with 18 kills in Thursday's four-set victory over the Islanders, then posted a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs as SLU swept the Huskies to remain unbeaten at home this fall.
