Guth couldn’t have picked a better night to earn his first career win, tossing a career-high five innings in the Lions’ 5-1 upset of No. 1 Ole Miss last Tuesday. He limited the Rebels to one run on three hits and struck out three to help SLU earn its second win over a top-three opponent this spring. For his efforts, he was named the Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday.
