James Benson II set a school record in both the 200 and 400 meyrtd for the Southeastern Louisiana Track and Field team Saturday at the Texas A&M Invitational.Benson II, a sophomore, ran the 400 in a blazing 46.34.  The Charleston, Illinois native also ran the 200 in 21.07 which broke Shannon Glover’s record of 21.10 set March 3, 2012. Benson II, also a member of the SLU 4x400 relay team, is top ranked in the Southland in both the 200 meters and 400 meters going into the Southland Conference Indoor Championships. With his efforts in the 200, Benson II is ranked 12^th in the nation.
